Rebecca Brown

Rebecca Brown received her M.L.S. from Texas Woman’s University in 2006. She is the Training Development Specialist for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Training Office where PubMed has been her focus for the past 7 years. Rebecca loves to cook and bake and she is an avid bird watcher.

Andrew Hamilton

Mr. Hamilton has been employed as a Liaison Librarian at the OHSU Library since 2002. Prior to joining OHSU, he worked for the NN/LM Online Training Center from 1996-2002 where he travelled the United States teaching thousands of librarians how to search PubMed.  Mr. Hamilton earned his Master of Library Science degree as part of a double Master’s degree for Drug Information Specialists (M.S.-Pharmaceutical Science/M.L.S.) from St. John’s University in 1993 and has B.S. degrees in Microbiology and Genetics from Oregon State University.

Gabe Rios

Gabe Rios is the director of the Ruth Lilly Medical Library, Indiana University School of Medicine. Gabe has worked with emerging technologies since the late 90s (remember the PDA?). He has taught technology-related classes at state, regional, and national meetings over the past 18 years. Gabe has also served as a member of national and local technology groups for the Medical Library Association as well as community-based groups. Gabe is a devoted user of technology and has a keen interest in technology trends and their impact on health and medicine. In his role as library director, Gabe continues his support of emerging technologies by facilitating the use of technology to meet users where they are.

Dr. Jan Dasgupta

Nairanjana Dasgupta (aka Jan) is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington State University.  From 2017 she has held the Boeing Distinguished Professorship in Science/Math Education. In 2018 she was elected as fellow at the American Statistical Association.  She has authored 55 peer reviewed articles and been successful in obtaining federal grants from NIH, NSF as well as NIST. Mentoring and Graduate education are her passions.
